E.G.O. Jegna Klub Student of the Week

Jegna Klub and truththereason.com are collaborating with Mayor Tyrone Garners Office and The Merc Co+op to help empower youths to become who and what they want. Each week we will recognize a Kindergarten through college student who is not only excelling academically, athletically (not required), behaviorally, and in attendance, but is also not afraid to stand up and out to take the lead in word and action; not only for their future, but for their school and their community!

This week our EGO (Empowerment Grows Opportunities) Jegna Klub Student of the Week is Khupehbyar Mehti a 3rd grade student at Quindaro Elementary School in the Kansas City Kansas Public School District. Khupehbyer is such a great positive peer leader. He is an excellent listener and he always follows the directions that are given to him. Khupehbyar is always willing to help his peers if they are struggling with understanding their school work. Other students are always giving him compliment cards (our school wide peer to peer recognition program) stating that he is so helpful! Every time I see him in the hallways, he is always walking and following our school behavioral expectations. Khupehbyar is a hard worker and he is always raising his hand and willing to participate during instruction time when I teach counseling lessons in his class. Overall, he is a joy to have as a student. I believe he is a great candidate for the Jegna Klub Student of the Week! - Nominated by Counselor Knoel Christopher
